Rick Rush (born 1946) is an American painter widely recognized as “America’s Sport Artist” for his dynamic portrayals of athletic competition and human achievement. Known for his vibrant impressionistic style, Rush captures the emotion, energy, and motion of sports ranging from football and baseball to the Olympics and horse racing. In 1991, he was honored by the United States Sports University and its American Sport Art Museum & Archives (ASAMA) as the Sport Artist of the Year – Painter, solidifying his place among the foremost artists celebrating the culture of sport.
